2. Legal Basis
Under the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011 and the GDPR, SigSwift must obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device.
Essential cookies required for platform functionality, security, and authentication do not require consent. All other cookies are placed only after you provide affirmative consent through the cookie banner. You may reject non-essential cookies without affecting access to core platform functionality.

3.1 Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to operate. Without them, features such as logging in, maintaining your session, and CSRF protection would not work. These cookies cannot be disabled.

3.2 Analytics Cookies
SigSwift uses analytics technologies to understand how visitors use the platform and to improve performance, usability, and reliability. Analytics data is aggregated and is not intended to directly identify individual users. These cookies are only placed after you have provided consent.
We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled. Google acts as a data processor on our behalf, and analytics data may be transferred outside the EEA under Google’s standard contractual clauses. If you decline optional cookies, the Google Analytics script is not loaded at all and no analytics cookie is set.

3.3 Live Chat Cookies
We use Chaport to provide live chat support. These cookies remember your conversation so you do not have to repeat yourself, and record whether the chat window is open. They are only placed after you have provided consent, and if you decline the chat widget is not loaded.
Live chat is never loaded on signing pages or shared draft pages. If you have been sent a contract to sign, no chat widget and no chat cookie is present on those pages.

3.4 Third-Party Cookies
When you proceed to payment, Stripe may set cookies necessary for payment processing, fraud prevention, and transaction security. These cookies are controlled by Stripe and governed by their own privacy documentation. SigSwift has no control over these cookies.

4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
When you first visit SigSwift, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner. Nothing optional is placed until you choose — the scripts that would set those cookies are not loaded at all until you accept them. Declining is a single click, in the same place and with the same prominence as accepting.
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link, which is also in the footer of every page. Your choice is remembered for 180 days, after which we will ask again.
4.1 Browser Controls
Most browsers allow you to view and delete cookies, block specific cookie categories, and set site-specific permissions. Please note that blocking essential cookies may prevent SigSwift from functioning correctly.
4.2 Analytics Opt-Out
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5. Cookies We Do Not Use
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers, and we do not track you across other websites.
If you have received a link to sign a contract, only strictly necessary cookies are used on those pages. Your identity confirmation, consent and signature are recorded in the contract’s audit trail rather than in cookies — that record is described in the audit certificate attached to the completed document.
